Before I go on any further explaining who these people are, don't you think that they look absolutely HOT!
A friend of mine shows me their pictures and I am like - "so what - they look beautiful - as usual, women are beautiful especially when they are an artist". Then, she explains to me that they are not actually real women! They are men or what we all usually refer to as transexuals! Then I take a good look and still cannot believe my eyes! Well dear, let me introduce to you these cute babes!
Lady is a Korean pop group, noted as the first transgender group from that country. The band consists of Sinae, Sahara, Binu and Yuna. According to the official story, they were the best out of hundreds who tried out to be part of this band. Although only three were supposed to be in the group, a fourth was added at the last minute.
Their formation was inspired by the emergence of Harisu, a Korean singer and actress, who is also transgendered. They label themselves as "Variability" because all four members are seen as women and has attracted the attention of the Korean audience. If they are not labeled as variability, they will never be seen as men ever again! This is because they have outstanding beauty and even for a real woman, their beauty is a bit of a physical challenge!
Sinea 29, is not a new face in the entertainment circles. She has been very active in the performing arts. Portfolio Fin K.L. cooperation with the the South Korean women has filmed her in a few commercials. She appeared on a TV commercial with a leading female dance group, and played a part for a music video made by Cho PD. The only notable change is that she is now publicly confirming her gender, expressing her wish to be true to herself.
Sahara 25, the second-youngest in the group, won a beauty pageant award held in Thailand in 2003, and was recruited as a model for a famous jean brand for her outstanding beauty.
Binu 22, meanwhile, has so far concealed that she is transgender for fear of discrimination in a society that has conservative values. Binu's decision to shed her fears and jump into the entertainment world came as she met with other group members and was encouraged, she said.
Lady released their first album in 2005, consisting of only a few tracks, with many of them being remixes of their first two singles, "Attention" and "Ladies Night". There was much attention given to them by the press, given their unique status as a transgender band in a conservative country. However, they were able to perform on Korean music shows only a handful of times, while their music and videos were not well-received. In order to drum up more publicity, they released a photo book featuring nude shots of all the Lady members; this also failed to catapult them into stardom, however. They have since disappeared from the industry, and their official website has also closed down.
Lady's management is currently working with all four members of the group for a comeback sometime in 2007.
